The Shangri-La Hotel Sydney has 563 guestrooms over the 36-storey tower block in the historic Rocks district. It offers views of the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge from its Altitude Restaurant and Blu Horizon Bar on level 36, and from many of its guestrooms. It has a full-service conference area with a wide range of meeting venues, as well as a business centre. The business centre, which has showers and a relaxation area, also functions as an early arrivals lounge. The Alysium Spa & Health Club offers a range of massage and beauty therapies. A hair and beauty salon is located on the same floor, in addition to a 20-metre heated indoor pool with adjoining sundeck. On-site shops include a jewellery store and gift shop. An historic pub building adjacent to the main building offers casual alfresco dining.

The conference venue has a wide selection of function rooms to suit a range of requirements, from small groups to large-scale receptions. Business centre: The business centre at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney is located on the second floor. It offers two computer workstations with high-speed Internet access (surcharge) and three laptop stations. There is a boardroom for up to eight guests, and an adjoining office for up to four people - either of which can be hired by the hour or day. There is a small lounge with complimentary tea/coffee, and shower facilities and changing rooms for early arrivals. Photocopying, faxing, scanning, and audiovisual hire are on offer, as well as translation and secretarial services. Laptops and mobile phones may also be hired.

Internet access: High-speed Internet access in the business centre costs AU$0.55 per minute. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas of the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, including bars, restaurants, lobby, business centre, and function/meeting rooms. Conference/function room(s): Conference facilities at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney extend over four levels and include a ballroom and 17 other function rooms, a number of which can be combined to create additional spaces of varying sizes. Many of the rooms feature large foyers and break-out rooms. The Grand Ballroom is 670 square metres, and accommodates 900 guests in theatre style or 450 in classroom style. It can be divided into two. The Heritage Plaza is a 130 square metre weatherproofed courtyard surrounded by heritage-listed cottages, and can accommodate up to 200 people. The Bradfield Lounge, which has balconies, is 155 square metres, hosting 100 in cocktail style or 50 in classroom style, while the 92 square metre Harlequin Room can host 80 in cocktail style or 50 in classroom style. Other meeting rooms range in size from 185 square metres to 26 square metres. Audiovisual equipment, international video conferencing, simultaneous translations, lecterns, microphones, and other equipment is available.

Beds are topped with premium bedding such as 300-thread-count sheets, goose down quilts, pillow menu, silk throws, and Thai silk bed heads. Executive desks have dual-line phones, independent fax line, and high-speed Internet access, which costs AU$15 for half an hour, AU$25 for two hours, or AU$40 for 12 hours. Cable/satellite TV offer pay movies and premium channels such as BBC, CNN, Sky Movies, Sky Sports, and Bloomberg. Minibars have refrigerators and tea/coffee kettles. Other amenities include irons and ironing boards, bathrobes and slippers, and a safe which accommodates laptops. The marble bathrooms have a separate tub and shower and complimentary toiletries are provided.
