Quay Grand Suites Sydney

Quay Grand Suites Sydney

Accessed from both Macquarie Street and Circular Quay, the 67-all-suite hotel was opened in 1999. Comprising 14 floors, Quay Grand occupies levels one to 11, while private residences are accommodated on the top three floors. Occupying a prime northerly city centre position overlooking the harbour, the hotel is tucked between the 30-hectare Royal Botanic Gardens and the busy ferry port of Circular Quay. Sydney Opera House is a non-strenuous 0.5 km stroll away and the historic Rocks district may be reached via a 1 km harbour-view walk. Much of corporate Sydney, and major department stores, shopping arcades, and designer fashions are within 1 km of the hotel. Recreational facilities include an indoor heated pool, sauna, spa tub, sun deck, and gym. Wireless Internet access is available across the hotel and a small Internet kiosk is located on level two. A valet grocery service is provided via the concierge and a small convenience store is located on Macquarie Street near the entrance to the hotel. All public areas are non-smoking and within suites, guests are asked to smoke on balconies only.

A small Internet kiosk/workstation is located on level two of the Quay Grand Suites and wireless Internet access is available across the entire building. Three function spaces are also available.

In 2005, 1-bedroom suites were refurbished with king-size beds, feather-down duvets, high thread count cotton sheets, two flat screen televisions (one for the bedroom and the second for the living area), and new ergonomic chairs for the executive desks. Stage 2 of the soft refurbishment program follows in July 2007, with all suites undergoing re-carpeting and painting (including a feature wall in the living area), and receiving new or recovered sofas, recovered dining chairs, new soft furnishing (lamps, rugs, and cushions), and new furniture (television cabinets and outdoor furniture). Umbrellas are available, on loan, from the concierge. Bathrooms offers a separate (spa) bath and shower.
